Is Awakening Lonely/Arrogant?

New video just posted – Is Awakening Lonely/Arrogant?

There’s been quite a lot of chatter on this one, and a lot of resonance taking place as we get established.

Many of us grapple with some big judgments as we enter the arena of thinking about awakening (the unavoidable “mistake” being to try to *think* about it). We want to be free from our suffering, but our suffering, in the form of mind activity like belief systems and judgments, asserts itself within our new endeavors. It is persistent. Hang in there, because one day you will laugh at how hilarious this whole thing is.

When we realize we are Consciousness watching the mind interact with the world, and that mind thinks it is in charge because Consciousness doesn’t make sound in order to assert itself, and because the world has told us from day one that we are a separate person who needs to protect and maintain an identity… it is laughable. It is joyous.

Does this mean we are laughing at “everyone else?” No! It means we know that there is no “everyone else” – we’ve been the same thing this entire time. And don’t even get me started on time (yet).

None of this can be arrogant or lonely once we have a felt understanding, through direct experience, of what this is. This is why, in the end, non duality is not a religion or a philosophy. It is simply observing what is.
